Other AI tools are built to agree with you
Ask a general chatbot to review your interview answer and it will find
something encouraging to say. That is not a flaw in it — it is what it is
optimised for. Ask twice and you get two different verdicts, both kind.
What this does instead
The score is not a model. A fixed rubric runs on your iPhone and returns the same number for the same story, today and in six months.
It is instructed never to praise. When a model is used, it leads with the weakest thing you said. It has never once returned “great answer”.
It quotes you back. Not general advice about structure — the specific sentence that fails, and why.
It always shows the stronger version. Built only from what you actually said. It will not invent a number you did not earn.

Most first stories score between 30 and 60. That is not the app being
unkind — it is the first honest read anyone has given them. Every criticism
ends with a stronger version written in your own words.
Being straight with you
It does not cover coding or system design. If your loop has those rounds, prepare for them somewhere else.
